Here at Settle we are looking for an Asset Surveyor to join us for a 12 month fixed term contract.
Outline of Key Responsibilities...
You will:
- Manage a broad range of queries and projects, providing a customer centred, professional building surveying service across the property portfolio.
- Undertake surveys in response to housing disrepair claims and produce comprehensive inspection reports which clearly identify any defects, causation and liability.
- Preparing subsequent specification of works, overseeing any works to completion within budget and specified timeframes.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams including housing, repairs & maintenance and customer resolution ensuring that we meet legislative timescales and internal SLA’s for disrepair, complaint handling and responding to resident enquiries.
- Ensure that meticulous records are kept to enable regular performance reporting is available to identify any trends and root causes and inform service improvement.
- Build and maintain good relationships with residents whilst actively promoting the organisation.
Additional duties may include:
- Undertaking stock condition surveys where needed to aid the completion of targets.
- Have technical input into our Aids and Adaptations service, providing the A&A with feasibility surveys and post inspections for adaptation works.
- Provide technical support for the permissions process.
- Work with our Customer Resolution Team to support complaint investigations related to the Asset Management function in line with statutory timeframes.
- Project manage packages of work from inception through to final delivery. Demonstrating excellent contractor and project management skills. Holding contractors to account and delivering within budgets and timescales, whilst keeping all stakeholders fully informed and engaged.
- Assist in Asset related procurement processes. Assisting with providing specifications, answering queries from leaseholders and scoring submitted tenders.
- Liaising with insurers and providing access and information for them as and when required.
- Help to build specifications and develop programmes for specialist works that affect multiple properties or property types.
We are looking for someone who has...
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage own workload and prioritise appropriately whilst ensuring internal and external SLAs are met.
- Have strong customer focus, and the ability to communicate, influence and chair meetings with a variety of stakeholders
- Good knowledge/experience of building maintenance.
- Good knowledge of Fitness for Habitation legislation and the housing disrepair pre action protocol
- Excellent contractor and project management skills and experience.
- Be physically able to use appropriate access equipment to enter lofts / carry out property inspections.
Able to:
- Use a range of surveying equipment
- Communicate ideas and information in a variety of formats, including preparation of detailed formal reports.
