Home Condition Partner

We are looking for a Home Condition Partner to join our growing Neighbourhoods Team. This role involves visiting our residents, across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and South Cambridgeshire, to carry out a tenancy audit and property inspection to ensure that the home and garden is being managed to a reasonable standard and in line with the tenancy agreement.

Outline of Key Responsibilities...
You will:
- Using our data and insights to target where we need to carry out a tenancy audit
- Conducting scheduled and unscheduled tenancy audits and property inspections
- Managing a caseload of investigations from referral to conclusions
- Checking the overall condition of the property and garden to ensure it is being maintained to a reasonable standard
- Following up on any repairs and maintenance issues identified during the inspection.
- Collaborate with our Asset team, where a stock condition survey may be required
- Manage property condition concerns ensuring these are dealt with sensitively but robustly in line with HHSRS requirements.
You will also:
- Agree actions where a property or garden has not been kept to a reasonable standard – you will agree with the resident what needs to be put right and arrange a timeframe in which we will re-inspect.
- Work with residents on agreeing work outside of the residents’ ability to put right and agree work to be carried out and re-charge where appropriate
- Identifying where there is a support need and work with relevant teams and partner agencies.
- When needed, collect evidence for legal action where there is a breach of tenancy.
We are looking for someone who has...
A basic must!
- Be passionate about the delivery of social housing and thriving communities with an understanding of some of the challenges our customer groups may experience.
- You will have a caring and enthusiastic approach to provide support to vulnerable customers.
- Work with customers to deliver high trust, low effort solutions.
- To have a flexible approach to delivering services and working remotely, able to use your initiative and work independently whilst contributing to team objectives.
- Knowledge of social housing
- Have a full clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work
Able to:
- Identify and manage difficult conversations with customers
- Work with us to reduce complaints and increase customer satisfaction. Taking ownerships of problems and finding innovate ways to solve
- Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with a wide range of customers and colleagues.
- Be a professional in the sector, achieving professional development through the chartered institute of housing

Our Future
